Privacy Policy

Who we are

This site is operated by The Better Company (“we,” “us”). Our website is getbetterco.com.

What we collect

  • Usage data — if you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 and Usermaven to understand aggregate traffic (pages viewed, approximate location, device type). We do not use these tools to identify you personally beyond what those products provide by default.
  • Application data — if you submit the Growth Audit form, we collect the fields you provide (such as name, email, company URL, business details, and your message) and send them to our team via email through our email provider (Emailit).
  • Technical data — standard server and security logs (for example IP address, user agent, and timestamps) may be processed by our hosting provider when you request pages or submit the form.

Cookies & consent

Non-essential analytics scripts load only after you click Accept analytics on our cookie banner. If you choose Essential only, we store that preference locally in your browser and do not load those analytics scripts. Essential operation of the site does not require analytics cookies.

Why we use your information

  • To respond to inquiries and evaluate Growth Audit applications.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the website (including aggregate analytics when consented).
  • To comply with law or protect our rights where required.

Legal bases (EEA / UK visitors)

Where GDPR applies, we rely on consent for optional analytics, on contract / pre-contract steps when you request information or apply for services, and on legitimate interests in operating a secure website and understanding aggregate use, balanced against your rights.

Retention

Form submissions are retained in our email systems according to our normal business and legal retention practices. Analytics data is retained per Google’s and Usermaven’s policies and our configuration in those products.

Processors & transfers

We use service providers (for example hosting, email delivery, analytics, and optional bot protection) that may process data in the United States or other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details on this site. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above will change when we do; continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy where permitted by law.
